Is it Christmas yet?

Oh, this last week before Christmas seems as if it is going so slowly. No preschool. Kids ask to open presents every morning! Had to pull out the halloween costumes to keep the kids busy. This was the result.....a pirate and spiderman!

And we decided to make our first ever Gingerbread house. i was informed by Ryan that we need to buy two houses next year b/c "Owen just keeps messing it up."

Ryan's Christmas Program

Preschool....can't believe my baby is in preschool. I have to say, it was hard to decide if i wanted to put ryan in a real preschool @ our church or just have him go to his daycare two-three times a week. there were pros and cons...the biggest being how was i going to work my schedule so that i could take him to school every m/w/f @ our church. I am SOOOOO happy ryan is at school at Bethany Lutheran. Mrs. Brzon is amazing and Ryan has learned so much. Was so excited to go to his Christmas program. Ryan was one of the three wisemen.

They all took a bow at the end.....

And then sang us some songs :) Below is a video of the kids sing "Away in a manger" if the video actually downloaded.

Oh, and on dec 12, we baptized baby maddie, although, she isn't a baby anymore! Maddie is a one year old!

Santa, Christmas parties, and Family gatherings....

(Dec 6, 2010)

Can you guess what this picture means????? It's time to meet Santa!!!! Dinner @ Fritz's and then to see Santa has become our family tradition. Scott and i decided the game plan this year would be to go earlier in the month so we could attempt to avoid the lines....and it worked! No wait at Fritz's or to see santa. It made for two happy boys and two happy parents.

Playing in Crayola land.

We finally made it to santa, after playing for so long, and we had plenty to tell him. Mommy made the rule that we can only tell Santa three things that we want...b/c santa isn't able to bring EVERYTHING that is on our list. Ryan's top three thing...a vulcan nerf gun, marble run, and legos. Owen's top three things...zhu zhu pets, legos, and mommy can't remember the third item (opps!)

Then it was off to see the pretty trees all lit up in the white lights...and to climb away in the little crown center town.

Next up, it was the neighborhood "kids christmas party." Including choc covered pretzels, cheeseball, lil smokeys, root beer, and gift exchange. I think Owen thought it was the coolest b/c he got to play with all the big kids.

The gift exchange....it was kinda like hot potato, once you were out, you picked a present and had to wait til everyone had their present.
Owen and Evelyn waiting with their presents.

The next day, it was off to the Wolpers family Christmas. As the years have passed and the cousins have gotten married and started families of our own, we are only able to get together once a year. 6 of the 8 cousins or grandchildren were there. Here we all are with our sig. others and grandma :)

And all the great grandchildren (minus baby Callie, but plus mommy b/c Owen would not cooperate).

Grandma, with her children and their spouses.

December happenings.....

It's time to get the house ready for Santa. Oh how the boys love going thru the boxes of christmas ornaments.

They each had their own special "section" of the tree to hang their own ornaments.

Grandma margaret was in town so she helped owen place his ornaments up high.

Both boys were finally over their runny noses and we were able to take baby Callie's present to her......an MU bear :)

And, of coarse, both boys fought over who was going to hold her first.

Apparently Callie doesn't care for her cousins...she would rather eat. Little does she know, she will love chasing them when she gets older!

December 4th was a little Holiday dinner @ the Kreisel's. Em's friend Cari was in from Fl.

After eating some Jack Stack :), the boys watched some football and drank some beer.

Baby Kinley and baby Callie enjoyed meeting each other for the first time.

Callie Ann Kreisler

(nov 19, 2010)

Sooo, maybe Scott is not the favorite son in law anymore! It has always been a joke b/n Beef and Scott that whomever has hte first granddaughter, will be my parents favorite son in law. Well, have to say congrats to Beef and Emily. They welcomed Callie Ann on Nov 19th. She weighed in at a itty bitty 6lbs 10 0z...even smaller than ry and o! She has definately been a high maintance baby....but let's hope she is just getting it all out now so that she is a perfect little angel when she is a toddler :)

papa and ryan with baby callie

proud to hold his cousin for the first time :)

owen isn't too sure about this new baby thing. why is grandma and papa checking out another baby? humm "am i being demoted?"

Mommy, daddy, and Callie getting ready for bed....their last night at the hospital, before they are on their own!

(November 12, 2010)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

In other news.....

Yes, i have been the worst when it comes to posting....so here is a quick update.

Did i mention that Ryan started 4 year old preschool this year? Yep, we are big now! He has school mon/wed/fri mornings. He goes to Bethany Lutheran Preschool and his teacher is Mrs Bryzon. As you can tell by the picture, he was a little apprehensive the first day!

Owen, on the other hand, was ready to go, and would have gone to school himself, if he were old enough.
Ryan has adjusted fairly well. A few tears here and there, but overall, loves his school!

In Sept, scott had to travel to Chicago for a week for business. You can bet i was right along with him for that trip. I am not a stupid person....hotel on Michigan Ave??? Shopping???? The whole day to myself??? No kids???? Oh yes, i was definately in for this trip! it was wonderful! I walked Scott to his building every morning, went for a walk along lake Michigan, came back to the hotel for a morning nap, showered, then shop in the afternoon. And then scott and i were able to go out in the evening and have nice dinners. Too bad it only lasted 3 days....but it was wonderful!

Oh, and did i mention that while i was in chicago, i was able to meet my college room mate for lunch? I had not seen Chellie for almost 8 years. Was so good to catch up over lunch. Felt like we were still in college! Loved catching up with her! What a great two years it was living with a great person/friend. Only wish we lived closer.

As scott was flying back in from Chicago on sept 24, the rest of us were in Corporate Woods for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the night walk. Scott, Matt, Cathy and i started Team Kenzer back in July and were able to raise $1800! Go team kenzer!

Saturday morning, Sept 25, i hosted Emily's baby shower. Gosh, it was one year ago that i was hosting her bridal shower :) Food was good. House looked great. Emily got a ton of great gifts. If only i had remembered to take a few pics of the person of honor!

And forgot to take pics of her opening gifts so here are a few pics of the things she got!

So, the rest of our days has just been hanging out....playing!

...and going to dad's last Fall softball game

.....and going to MU's homecoming! Go tigers! Way to beat #1 OU!!!!

all the college kids rushing the field!

....and color in the kitchen while doing the "jamel" pose!

Oh, and one of my all time favorite Owen moments. We walked into Kansas Sampler last week to find scott an Mu shirt. of course KU stuff was up front and MU was in back. we walked in and owen kept saying "pee hew" "pee hew." i knew exactly what he was saying. other people looked at him. i said "yes owen, pee hew, ku. we don't like those jayhawks." it was so funny. i am sure the ku fans in the store didn't like it but momma sure did. there was a table and crayons for kids to color. of course, there were no tigers, only jayhawks. i told the boys they didn't need to color any jayhawks so the girl went nad found a few tigers for them to color. but owen had to color a jayhawk and bring it home to put on the frig. don't worry, we will burn it here shortly. bless his little 2 year old sole, he doesn't know that we despise those jayhawks...he was just proud of himself for coloring a picture :)
