So proud of Ryan

We LOVE the pool! we love it so much that i keep forgetting to take my camera and capture the moment....i am too caught in it :) Very proud of Ryan today. He is one that does not like to get his face wet, water in his eyes, etc. He jumped off the edge of the pool into 3 1/2 feet of water two days ago...with a lifejacket on. this was a big step, and for that, he got a Buzz Lightyear gun. He was super excited. But today, he kept putting his face in the water. He almost submerged his head as he went to get his torpedo! I guess he figured out how to hold his breath so water would not go up his nose. so proud of him. hopefully he will do much better in swim lessons this summer....and we are one step closer to being able to enjoy water parks! Owen, on the other hand, well, he's just a fish. He will put his face in, but water bothers his ears. And i am hesitant to let him get his face wet b/c of his ears. We have our appointment with the ENT on Wednesday....to determine if he needs tubes, although by our pediatrician's view, he has had enough ear infections to qualify. That will be for another post :)

Happy 8th Anniversary Scottie!

Wow. Can't believe we have been married for 8 years....ummmm, together for 15 years :) Time certainly does fly! Scott and I were able to enjoy two hours to ourselves. It was nothing romantic...who has time for that! We would have been happy eating at McDonald's, just the two of us, but we did do better than that. We headed to the plaza and ate at Jack Stacks. Scott went for his bbq and i had a great spinach salad. we were able to sit on the patio and enjoy the wonderful weather and each other's company...without chasing after kids or cutting up their food. we then headed to Tomfooleries so that i could have one of my favorite drinks, Captain's punch, and some smores :) And then back home to put the boys to bed and then tear out carpet padding since we got water in the basement from all the wet weather this past weekend. How romantic is that! Anniversary #1 was spent in cancun, on the beach. #8, tearing out carpet padding. Yes, we are getting old! We look forward to spending two nights at Lake of the Ozarks this weekend. How nice it will be to sleep in and go shopping. But gotta love those kiddos that we have:) If we did not get married, we would not have those two wonderful boys in our lives....even if they are onry :)

The last month in review...again!

I get an F in writing blogs! Oh well, at least i did eventually update this!

During one of Ry's baseball games, Owen got to hang out with uncle matt.

Ryan got to play catcher for one inning :)

Happy Mother's day Grandma :)

Papa and his boys :)

Hummmm.....I am just going to say this....ESPN...every guy's dream job :) Would Scott really have moved his family to Bristol, CT if he got the job. In this case, I think coming in 2nd is better than 1st....so we don't have to move:)

It's clean up time! One night, i told the kids we needed ot pick up toys and i started to vacum. Owen didn't miss a beat when he went to get his toy vacum and started to help me clean!

A nice relaxing weekend :) fixing pancakes in the morning...with my boys in their matching pj's.

It was Garmin day at Worlds of Fun! The park was closed to the public....only garmin employees and family. The rain didn't stop us from having some fun.

Choo Choo! Here lately, Owen has been obsessed with trains. He plays with the train table and tracks all the time. I keep reminding Scott that this was about the age Ryan was when we got the train table. Hard to imagine Ryan being 21 months again! So glad Owen is enjoying the choo choo's as much as Ryan did!

Owen being silly!
enjoying some home made choc chip cookies. ummm, ummm good

yes, you are seeing this picture correctly. apparently Owen got mad that he had to take a nap so while he was throwing a fit, he figured how to take his diaper off. He fell asleep and then woke up crying.....you got it.....he peed all over himself! thank goodness it wasn't poop!

A little bit of mommy and daddy time! Scott and I enjoyed Justin and Kim's wedding reception on memorial weekend. grandparents watched kids while we were able to have adult time...drink adult beverages....and have a great time with friends :)

Since memorial weekend, i have been working like crazy. Hospital is busy so i have been working like crazy...even a night shift....for double pay! The paychecks will be looking pretty! better save it for our vacation next year. Gosh, so hard to juggle being a mom and working when you love your job so much. We have also been to the prairie village pool. keep forgetting to take my camera but i will remember one of these days. the boys love it. i think the pool will become our second home this summer. until then.........:)
