First trip to Deanna Rose for 2010

Headed to Deanna Rose for the first time this Spring.

Ryan enjoyed feeding the goats and checking out the calves....Owen, on the other hand, wasn't too sure about this farm animal thing :)

Gotta love the tractors.....

(mommy taking a break)

.....and the popsicles!

After the boys went to bed, daddy burned some sticks in the backyard fire pit. Mom and dad got to sit out by the fire and just chat...without kids around. Stars were out and it was a beautiful night. I guess you could say we considered it a "date" :)

So behind on the blog.....

Some pics from over the past few weeks.......

Ryan and owen decked out in their mu gear

Last weekend was "fill dirt/landscape day." Owen opted to play in the car....

Ryan was daddy's helper.

This past week, while all the neighbor boys were playing nerf gun wars, Owen thought he would be safe if he just carried mommy's red purse.

Ahhhhh, and some good cuddle time before bed, with my two favorite boys :)

This past week, Ryan wanted a new gun to play with during the "neighborhood gun wars." Guess that is what what happens when a 4 year old plays with 6,7, and 8 year olds :) I told ryan that mommy and daddy can't buy him everything he wants and that he will have to help me around the house and earn money. And if he saves it, he can buy his own toys. Well, Ryan already had money saved up so he bought a new gun.

He proudly showed it to the boys then Ryan and two others made their way to the tree house to "hide" from the other boys.

The hair semi cooperated so i had to get a pic.

My worst day at work

Why do people say things to be hurtful? Why do people have to say things so that they can feel that they are better than you.....always needing to have the upper hand? Is it something in the male gene? An oversized ego? Even on our craziest days, I feel that I stay cool, calm and collected. I don't let too many things get to me....patient after patient. I can usually take it all. That is just part of the job. Thursday was a different story. Words were spoken that i took to heart. Blame it on the hormones (and the fact that i was about to start my period) and also take into account that the patient was a very dear friend who i care about. That mix made for a very emotional day! I came home emotionally drained.....the longest day of work, EVER! Only thing that makes me feel better is that i stood up for myself....and the wonderful support of my coworkers. Thanks for all the encouraging words ladies. I am so happy i work with such wonderful people. Would not change my job for the world! The good thing is that each day of work is a new day. And all will be well when i return to work....and I will be able to be apart of life's most beautiful experience...welcoming a new life into this world and teaching parents the things they need to know to care for life's most precious miracles.

Owen...20months going on 10 years

If only i had the camcorder rolling tonight! So ryan got mad that he had to come inside to eat dinner. all the neighbor kids were out. We all sat down to eat, ry ate his meal in 2 minutes and was ready to go back out....but we made him sit a little longer in hopes that owen would he. we finally let ryan get up and go out the back door. Owen stood up and kept saying "done" even though he had eaten nothing. the little stinker just kept watching us as he stepped from his chair to ryan's chair and then got down. he walked past us, still saying "done" and pushed the back door open. right before the door closed, he looked at both of us and say "bye." scott and i just turned to each other and laughed! i so wish i could have recorded it! All he does when he is outside is just follow all the big kids around. he thinks he is one of them! my little stinker, owen!

Easter Weekend

It's Easter weekend was super excited to head home to sedalia. All of the wolpers' sisters were going to be home. Don't think katie has made it back home since Christmas. Here are some pics of the weekend.

Owen was ready to head back home. Sporting one of Ryan's favorite hats!

The boys got their hair cut before we headed to grandparents

Game on! Easter egg hunt at church!

Owen didn't care how many eggs he got....he just checked all of them one by one, looking for chocolate. Oh lordy, yes, he is my child!

Headed back home. Aunt katie and her boyfriend, Tyler, were home. Good to see aunt katie. Here is Em and Beef.....

Scott, Tyler and Katie

Ryan, Owen, and Daddy taking advantage of the nice afternoon in the park. Gotta start practicing baseball. Our team practices begin this Tuesday!

Beef and Daddy had to relive their high school days and play catch. hummm, do they think they are still in shape to play baseball???? They are riding the wrong train. They are both on the high cholesterol train right now :) Gotta get them off of there!

Owen enjoyed himself a little too much at the park. he is going to be my little money! loves to hang from things!

Easter morning, the hunt is on! So glad the boys were good and the easter bunny stopped at grandma and papa wolpers house!

yep, we are all outside watching the boys hunt for their eggs.

Finally, it's picture time! too bad the wind was a blowin!

kinda funny that the son-in-laws both wore green shirts and khaki pants. they swear it wasn't planned!

Now it is back up to KC, minus the kids! Scott and I are looking forward to going to opening day at the Royals stadium. kiddos are back in sedalia with grandma and papa kreisel. I am taking full advantage of cleaning the house and catching up on things (aka, the blog and tv shows that i have dvr'd). will be so nice to sleep in tomorrow morning and go work out. But will be happy to see the kids tomorrow night at dinner :)
